Ocean Protection

Here on the Central Coast we are blessed with a beautiful coastline and beaches and waterways form the central part of many of our communities.

This cannot be taken for granted.

All levels of Government must step up and protect and preserve their beauty for the future generations and marine life.

Did we learn nothing from watching the Gulf of Mexico disaster unfold?

Are our Governments and energy companies so resistant to change that they cannot adapt and evolve and therefore survive?

We need to invest money in renewable energies and move forward from these energy sources that hold such environmental risks and pose such a threat to our marine life and environment.

The marine environment must be protected for future generations.

I am strongly opposed to using ex warships as underwater tourist attractions and have been involved in the campaign to stop the HMAS Adelaide being used as an artificial reef 1600 metres offshore from beautiful Avoca Beach.
